About The Position

Optum Colorado is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its East clinic team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As part of Optum Care Delivery, the clinician will provide outpatient care in a clinician-led, collaborative organization focused on improving health outcomes and delivering value-based, full-scope primary care. The role serves patients of all ages, primarily adults and seniors, with an average daily census of 18–20 patients. The clinician works with specialist and ancillary-service teams and has clinical resources, staff support, Epic EMR, and AI-scribe technology available.

Requirements

Active, unrestricted APRN or PA license in Colorado, or ability to obtain one before employment.
Prescribing authority, or ability to obtain it before employment.
DEA license, or ability to obtain one before employment.
At least 2 years of NP/PA experience.

Nice To Haves

NP/PA experience in primary care or family medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage patient care in an outpatient setting.
See patients of all ages, primarily adults and seniors.
Complete timely and thorough documentation.
Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures.
Order laboratory and imaging tests to determine and manage immediate treatment plans and provide follow-up advice.
Coordinate care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.
Maintain quality-of-care standards as defined by the practice.
