About The Position
TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is hiring an Advanced Patient Care Technician to provide compassionate, patient-centered care under the guidance of a registered nurse. The role performs advanced clinical tasks and helps create a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families. The technician observes patients, documents and communicates changes to the nursing team, assists with activities of daily living, and provides advanced care such as phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removal of IV lines and catheters, and wound care. The role also includes collecting lab samples and clerical support, anticipating patient needs, and responding promptly to help provide a seamless, compassionate care experience.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Hold one of the following credentials: Cardiac Monitoring Technician - Board Certified (CMT-BC), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), or Phlebotomy Technician (PHLEB).
Responsibilities
- Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them to the nursing team.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
- Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removal of IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
- Collect lab samples and assist with clerical duties.
- Anticipate patient needs and respond promptly to support a seamless, compassionate care experience.
