Patient Care Tech - Cardiac Telemetry, Nights
About The Position
The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff. The role cares for patients from birth through the lifecycle and requires competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting, hospital policy, and prescribed standards. The position is based in Cardiac Telemetry at Piedmont Fayette Hospital and is full-time on nights, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The PCT works in a fast-paced environment to promote healing and support wellness, collaborates with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population, and assists patients with bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. The role offers guidance from licensed clinical staff and opportunities to grow in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.
