About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT), under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role demonstrates competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. In the Cardiac Telemetry unit at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, the PCT works with licensed nursing staff to support direct, patient-centered care and help patients with activities of daily living.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification.
