About The Position

Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary to care for patients’ personal needs and comfort. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare supplies. The role requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program.
• Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. If certified through the American Red Cross, obtain American Heart Association certification within 60 days of hire.
• Obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Ability to use computer-driven patient care equipment.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of acute care and/or previous clinical experience.
• Basic experience performing clerical or customer service duties.
• Prior HUC training or experience in a clinical setting.
