About The Position

This is a full-time, benefitted position for an Advanced Diagnostic Radiology Technologist at the Senate Street Surgery Center location in Indianapolis, IN. The scheduled hours are 7:00a-3:30p, with an expectation to float to other Beltway Surgical Centers throughout Indy when case coverage is needed. The technologist will be responsible for running C-Arms for surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures, and will act as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, working with patients from pediatric through geriatric, following physician's instructions, preparing and operating equipment, and positioning patients correctly to record diagnostic images. The position also involves displaying leadership characteristics by volunteering for improvement initiatives, seeking ways to improve team collaboration, functioning as a subject matter expert, and mentoring. Advanced responsibilities may include acting as an onboarding/orientation preceptor, serving as a clinical instructor for students, providing and leading annual CE opportunities for team members, and acting as the operations leader during the absence of a team lead/supervisor. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning

Responsibilities
