About The Position

This is a full-time, benefitted position for a Radiologic Technologist at the Senate Street Surgery Center location in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves working in the OR environment, specifically running C-Arms for surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures. The technologist will also act as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services. Responsibilities include operating various imaging equipment (x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, fluoroscopy), preparing and positioning patients, collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians for accurate imaging, following radiation safety protocols, documenting detailed patient history in EMR, staying current with continuing education, monitoring patients for safety during exams, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as needed. The position is scheduled 7:00a-3:30p and may require floating to other Beltway Surgical Centers in Indianapolis for case coverage. No weekends, nights, call, or holidays are expected.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible)
  • If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit

Responsibilities

  • Staying current with continuing education
  • Monitoring patients during exam for safety
  • Documenting necessary information in EMR
  • Assisting with minimally invasive procedures as needed
