About The Position

This is a full-time, benefitted position at the Senate Street Surgery Center location in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be scheduled 7:00a-3:30p and will also be expected to float to other Beltway Surgical Centers throughout Indy when case coverage is needed. The technologist will be responsible for running C-Arms for surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures, and will act as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services. Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification, required.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years experience as a radiology diagnostic technologist, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a subject matter expert.
  • Acts as a mentor to assist in team development and coaching.
  • Acts as an onboarding/orientation preceptor.
  • Serves as clinical instructor for students.
  • Provides and leads annual CE opportunities for team members.
  • Acts as the operations leader during the absence of a team lead/supervisor.
  • Maneuvers equipment and improvises positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
