About The Position

Provides care to patients at Cook Children's Medical Center under the direction of the medical director. Performs support functions related to unit operations and supports and supplements the health care team in designated areas of the hospital. This role is in the Emergency Department, with a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift and 36 standard weekly hours. The employee must maintain a primary residence in Texas and keep all licenses and credentials required for the position active throughout employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of paramedic experience.
• Current paramedic certification or license, which must be maintained and kept active.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform support functions related to unit operations.
• Support and supplement the health care team in designated hospital areas.
