About The Position

As a Pharm Tech-Inpt Adv Drug Ther at Henry Ford Hospital, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to process orders for medications requiring special handling, preparation, and accountability. You will safely manage these medications to support patient safety and help the pharmacy team deliver high-quality care. The role includes working aseptically in a vertical flow hood environment, maintaining investigational drug research records, validating doses using investigational drug protocols, managing pharmacy inventory, and developing or modifying departmental protocols in consultation with a supervising pharmacist.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Pharmacy Technician license from the State of Michigan.
• At least one year of experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician and/or Retail Pharmacy Technician; retail experience applies only to medication history positions.
• Ability to maintain records and perform calculations.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and type approximately 25 WPM.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cytotoxic drug handling.
• Familiarity with Investigational Drug Protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify departmental protocols for medications requiring special handling, in consultation with a supervising pharmacist.
