About The Position

Join the pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician and help deliver safe, high-quality medication care. Under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy and alongside experienced pharmacists, the technician supports the preparation and distribution of medications while helping ensure accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety. The role is suited to a detail-oriented professional who works well in a collaborative healthcare environment and is committed to positive patient care.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing systems, including unit dose, IV admixture, and outpatient prescription processing.
• Knowledge of basic differences in drug therapy for patient age groups ranging from neonates to geriatric patients.
• Knowledge of systems of measurement, such as the metric system, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions within and between systems.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique in compounding IV admixtures if required at the practice location.
• Knowledge of drug nomenclature, including brand and generic names.
• Knowledge of pharmacy law and activities allowed and prohibited by law.
• Knowledge and experience using a computer and keyboard.
• Experience with Windows programs, e-mail, and the internet.
• Must hold a provisional Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in the State of Montana.
