About The Position

PharmD on Demand is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to work on an as-needed (PRN) basis at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, Georgia. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and is willing to assist where necessary. The pharmacy serves hospital and retail operations. Hospital pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Retail pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and it is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s).
Experience as a pharmacy technician.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Attention to detail and willingness to assist where necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist in providing medications, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
Receive and store incoming deliveries of medication and supplies.
Calculate figures and amounts related to dosage calculations when filling prescriptions for patients from newborns to older adults.
Maintain pharmacy and other-department supply inventories and reorder supplies as needed.
Answer the phone and communicate effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist.
Perform tasks related to sterile compounding, including clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space.
Prepare and deliver medications to designated locations based on end-user needs.
Maintain stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.
