About The Position

PharmD on Demand is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to work on an as-needed (PRN) basis at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, Georgia. The role supports pharmacists in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients and hospital personnel. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state or states.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician; the posting describes the candidate as experienced.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and willingness to assist where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in providing medications, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
• Receive and store incoming medication and supply deliveries.
• Calculate figures and amounts related to dosage calculations when filling prescriptions for patients ranging from newborns to elderly people.
• Maintain pharmacy and departmental supply inventories and reorder supplies as needed.
• Answer calls and communicate effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist.
• Perform sterile-compounding-related tasks, including clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space.
• Prepare and deliver medications to designated locations based on end-user needs.
• Maintain stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.
