About The Position

As a Private Duty Nurse with Centria Healthcare, you will provide compassionate, one-on-one skilled nursing care to clients in their homes. This position focuses on an adult client with a thoracic spinal cord injury, including respiratory maintenance, mobility support, and daily therapy routines. You will work alongside on-site home health aides to maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic home environment.

Requirements

• Hold an active RN or LPN license in the state of Michigan.
• Have strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in home health, private duty, or long-term care.
• Pediatric or adult care experience.
• Knowledge of tracheostomy or ventilator care; this is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care, including tracheostomy and ventilator care, medication administration, and catheter care as applicable.
• Focus on respiratory maintenance, mobility support, and daily therapy routines for an adult client with a thoracic spinal cord injury.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in the client's condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including repositioning, hygiene, and mobility.
• Support the client's well-being through compassionate, attentive care.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, healthcare team members, and on-site home health aides.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic home environment.
