The University of New Mexico’s Adobe Creative Commons (ACC), a partnership between UNM IT, University Libraries, and Adobe Education, seeks engaged student employees for a digital-literacy-oriented customer service environment. Assistants are generally the first point of contact for patrons and handle one-on-one trainings and lending processes. The ACC provides technology lending and learning for digital media production through equipment, software, and creative project education. Assistants also help maintain and monitor ACC areas. Under supervision, assistants work closely with ACC staff and students and, on a more limited and sometimes cross-functional basis, with the Brain Bar and other University Libraries staff and students. The role requires a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, digital media hardware such as cameras, and Mac OS, Windows, and mobile environments. Assistants should take initiative in addressing day-to-day technical and operational issues, work independently and as part of a team, and undertake supervised projects to maintain, update, and improve the space. Successful applicants may take on progressively independent work and greater responsibility. This is student employment on a term basis for the current or impending school year. Student employees may be asked to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends. The hourly pay is $16.00.
