About The Position

Maintenance Assistants help ensure equipment is delivered on time and meets operational demands while improving asset utilization and efficiency. They perform assigned activities under the direct supervision of Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors and carry out low-level, noninvasive maintenance tasks.

The role involves maintaining assigned equipment in accordance with the Division’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), applicable maintenance programs, and standard work. Assistants record materials and supplies, labor costs, and equipment maintenance history—including movements, work orders, parts used, and maintenance time—in TLM business systems. They comply with Division TLM standards and support continuous-improvement initiatives and remedial work plans intended to improve asset utilization, cost of service delivery, and Maintenance Technician efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities assigned by the TLM Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Technician.
• Work under the direct supervision of Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors.
• Perform low-level, noninvasive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain assigned equipment according to the Division’s CMMS, relevant maintenance programs, and standard work.
• Record materials and supplies, labor costs, and equipment maintenance performance history in TLM business systems, including movements, work orders, parts used, and time spent on maintenance.
• Comply with Division TLM standards.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives and remedial work plans to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery.
• Support efforts to improve Maintenance Technician efficiency and productivity.
