About The Position

City Museum is hiring Admissions and Gift Shop Attendants for its Retail team. Attendants work in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers with shopping, admissions, season passes, merchandise, and other products. The role focuses on efficient, friendly transactions and superior guest service, while maintaining sales displays and a clean, safe work environment. Attendants also answer questions about the museum, including its layout and amenities, and follow park policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to operate a computer and computer software programs.
Approachable, outgoing, and excited about selling.
Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public, customers, and staff members.
Must be attentive and work well with others.
Energy and enthusiasm for long days.
Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 25 pounds.
Ability to climb stairs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with their shopping experience.
Sell daily admission, season passes, merchandise, and other products efficiently and courteously.
Process payments by credit card, voucher, gift card, or automatic debit.
Offer additional products to help customers have the best park experience.
Handle payments accurately and make transactions fast, friendly, and fun.
Merchandise and maintain sales displays.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and employees.
Provide polite and expedient guest service.
Answer customer questions about City Museum, including facility layout and amenities.
Follow all park policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
