About The Position

The Admission RN completes admission assessments for potential patients and families in alignment with HIA Health’s goals, definitions, philosophy, and purpose. The role provides the initial patient admission and physical assessment for all patients admitted to HIA Hospice Services, identifies and coordinates initial medication and equipment needs, and completes the initial plan of care for each admission. The position is full-time, exempt, benefit eligible, and based at the Grand Forks office in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Starting pay is $34.67 per hour, based on experience. Employment is subject to a drug screen and pre-employment background screening. HIA Health maintains a Drug Free Workplace Policy.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Three to five or more years of nursing experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
Strong public speaking and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospice, palliative care, or long-term care is preferred.
Experience in hospice, home care, or end-of-life care.
Background in outreach, education, or healthcare marketing.

Responsibilities

Complete admission assessments for potential patients and families.
Provide the initial patient admission and physical assessment for patients admitted to HIA Hospice Services.
Identify and coordinate initial medication and equipment needs.
Complete the initial plan of care for admissions.
Support HIA Health’s mission, vision, and values through quality patient care, professional competence, collaboration, communication, innovation, accountability, and ownership.
Provide support to the entire agency regardless of primary office location.
