About The Position
The Center at Val Vista, a skilled nursing facility in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a weekend Admissions Coordinator to join its weekend pool. The facility provides physical rehabilitation and complex nursing care in a hotel-like atmosphere, with individualized, physician-driven care plans and services that support patients’ recovery and transition to their highest functional level. This fast-paced role requires a positive team member who can work well under pressure and multitask. The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays, approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on need. Compensation is to be determined based on experience.
Requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card.
- At least one year of healthcare admissions experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Receive and follow the work schedule and instructions from the supervisor and established policies and procedures.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Attach and document preadmission information and paperwork in the EMR system.
- Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain confidentiality.
- Handle insurance authorization scanning, faxing, emailing, and other required clerical duties.
