The Administrator of Healthcare Services oversees overall operations, management and leadership of all licensed care services at Dow Rummel Village. Our licensed care areas include a skilled nursing facility, assisted living, enhanced assisted living, and memory care. The Administrator ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest quality care standards for residents. Regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, financial management, staff supervision, resident and family satisfaction and creating a safe and effective care environment are all top priorities for the individual that takes on this role here at DRV.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license from the State of South Dakota.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in long-term care administration or healthcare management.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, financial management, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, personnel, and facility operations effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure efficient daily operations of licensed care.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor facility performance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the facility’s strategic planning, especially as it relates to its current and future resident cares with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Provide the CEO and COO with timely reports and projections; consult with them concerning the facility’s current and anticipated needs, problems, and opportunities as they relate to the residents’ care in the licensed facilities.
  • Work with the CFO and Department Directors on developing and implementing operating and capital budgets.
  • Make recommendations concerning key vendors including medical director, pharmacist, dietician, and others.
  • Ensure the facility is prepared for state and federal inspections and surveys.
  • Oversee all state and federal surveys, including the process for creating, submitting, and sustaining the plan(s) of correction.
  • Foster a positive company culture, ensuring it is reflected in all aspects of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Serve as Manager on Duty on a rotating basis.
  • Adhere to and model the way in all leadership competencies at Dow Rummel.
