About The Position

Champion Care is hiring an Administrator in Training (AIT) for its Executive Leadership Development Program. This full-time, multi-facility field development position prepares candidates to lead an individual skilled nursing facility. The Birmingham-area training territory covers facilities serving Birmingham, Bessemer, and Russellville, including Everstead, Northgate, Redmont, and Stonehaven. Regular travel is required across Birmingham and Bessemer operations, with additional travel to Russellville. After licensure, candidates must be willing to relocate anywhere in Alabama to be considered for an available permanent Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) opportunity. The program provides training in business and financial operations, labor and workforce management, executive leadership, skilled nursing facility operations, quality and regulatory requirements, admissions, census, occupancy, referral development, and business improvement. Participants learn alongside experienced Nursing Home Administrators and operational leaders while developing the capabilities to run a multimillion-dollar skilled nursing facility. The AIT salary is $70,000 annually. Permanent NHA opportunities generally start at $100,000 annually, depending on location, facility size, and responsibilities. Licensed NHAs leading their own facilities may be eligible for the company's profit-sharing program; AIT participants are not eligible. Advancement requires successful training, licensure, selection, and an available position, and no placement or compensation level is guaranteed. Applicants must be eligible for the Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators-approved training and licensure pathway.
