About The Position

The Administrator, Human Resources in the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This position is responsible for managing employee records, coordinating recruitment processes, and facilitating communication between management and staff. The role requires a thorough understanding of industry-specific labor regulations and safety standards to maintain compliance and promote a safe working environment. The Administrator will also assist in benefits administration, training coordination, and employee relations to foster a positive workplace culture. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations applicable in the United States.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the mining, quarrying, or oil and gas extraction industry.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Familiarity with safety compliance standards specific to the extraction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate communication between HR management and employees to address concerns and promote engagement.
  • Organize and track employee training programs and certifications relevant to the mining and extraction industry.
  • Prepare HR reports and documentation as required by management and regulatory bodies.
