Administrative Specialist II (Columbus County) -- Temporary
About The Position
This temporary position is with the Department of Adult Correction (DAC), located at 4600 Swamp Fox Hwy, Tabor City, Columbus County, North Carolina. The employee prepares written reports on topics including inventory levels, equipment specifications, offender incidents, incentive wage payroll, and production schedules. The position ensures that uniform accounting procedures are accurate and completed in accordance with the DAC Fiscal Policy and Procedure Manual. The hourly rate is based on education and/or relevant work experience reflected on the application. This temporary position does not offer leave or retirement benefits. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan. Permanent and time-limited North Carolina State Government employees must separate from their current position before taking a temporary position, and temporary employees may hold only one state temporary assignment at a time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and four years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Individuals hired must be fully qualified for the job.
