About The Position

This position provides essential administrative and audit-support services for the Audit Section. Responsibilities include preparing accurate outbound audit packages (Notices of Program Reimbursement) for more than 800 Medicaid cost reports annually; coordinating the receipt, logging, and verification of all cost reports; and issuing delinquency notices to non-compliant providers. The role supports internal and external audit activities by gathering required documentation and responds to State Public Records Act requests related to long-term care cost reports. Additional duties include communicating with internal stakeholders and contracted CPA firms, maintaining the audit archive, assisting with initiatives related to the transition to Managed Care, and performing a variety of administrative, secretarial, and ad hoc tasks necessary for efficient unit operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including creating and managing spreadsheets, utilizing formulas and functions, and maintaining accurate logs and data records.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word for professional administrative and clerical tasks, including document preparation, formatting, and correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Effective written communication skills, particularly in composing and responding to professional emails, along with the ability to collaborate respectfully with the public and coworkers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks in high-volume environments, and work independently with minimal supervision.
