About The Position

The Liability Insurance Safety Administrative Specialist determines whether driving privileges should be suspended for failing to deposit security with the Division after a motor vehicle accident. The role processes suspension requests and releases submitted by customers, subrogation and insurance companies, attorneys, and local, district, and federal court systems.

The specialist provides customer service on vehicle registration and driver license issues and develops working knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations related to driving privileges and registration. The position requires effective processing, decision-making, and verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective processing and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain policies and procedures to a diverse clientele, in person and by telephone.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining reports and/or data.
• Ability to multitask effectively between phone and computer systems.
• Experience maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves
