About The Position

This position performs routine clerical, customer service duties including answering the telephone and directing incoming calls while providing general receptionist duties and excellent customer service for visitors to the City of Conroe's City Secretary's Office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year related clerical experience in a customer service or public contact setting
  • Skill in communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact with the public in a professional and pleasant manner in person and on the telephone
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products and other general office equipment
  • Typing/Keyboarding
  • Good to excellent grammar skills are a must
  • Ability to work with constant interruptions
  • Ability to count change and other cash handling skills
  • Basic knowledge of sports in reference to processing reservations

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
