About The Position

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Administrative Programs Officer, Level I - E12A, will have an annual salary of $43,069.95 plus full state benefits. Job-related travel is occasional, and the incumbent must possess a valid driver's license. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing components of an agency program or a major division, program, or function. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying policies, providing clear documentation, performing complex tasks independently, and advising personnel and the public on departmental rules, regulations, and laws. The position also entails planning and conducting training, seminars, and meetings, representing the agency at conferences, participating in staff conferences, and providing supervision or direction to assigned staff. Demonstrating customer service, flexibility, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical administrative experience would include highly complex clerical work gained under the direct supervision of a professional supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and/or directs a component of an agency or institutional program or a major division, program, or function established to accomplish a basic goal or mission of the agency.
  • Interprets and applies policy and procedures, provides clear documentation, and independently performs complex tasks.
  • Interprets and advises agency personnel and the general public on departmental rules, regulations, and laws governing the operation of the agency, division or department program.
  • Plans, develops, and conducts training, seminars, meetings, or clinics as required; represents the agency at meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Participates in individual and staff conferences and trainings.
  • Provides supervision or direction to assigned staff in planning, promoting, and implementing programs in accordance with agency policies and goals.
  • Demonstrates customer service, flexibility, and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment.
