THIS IS A PART TIME CONTRACTUAL POSITION. The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. DPSCS is one of the largest departments in Maryland with nearly 12,000 employees and a budget of more than $1 billion. This position is responsible for the development, delivery, revision, and implementation of all emergency vehicle operations (EVO) training objectives, practical exercises, and evaluation in support of all the Police and Correctional Training Commissions (PCTC) EVO programs administered by staff assigned to the Driver Training Unit (DTU). This is a professional training administrator/coordinator/instructing position within the PCTC DTU which is responsible for providing COMAR mandated entrance-level, in-service, and instructor certification and continued education to police and correctional professionals throughout Maryland and other jurisdictions. The selected candidate will research, identify, design, develop, organize, implement, coordinate, instruct, manage, and evaluate the delivery of all programs of the EVO course of study.
