About The Position

This position is for an Administrative Officer 1 within the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) at the Department of Health. The role involves supervising an Administrative Assistant 2 and collaborating with an administrative team. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day financial transactions and administrative tasks such as p-card reconciliation, travel arrangements, timesheet management, and handling a shared inbox. The position will also initiate procurements, facilitate contracts, process invoices, track expenditures, and assist with administrative and budgetary oversight for RHTP grant recipients. Requirements

  • Competencies in Administration and Management: Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.

  • Competencies in Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience providing administrative support to a business or organization, business administration, public administration, finance, banking, accounting, industrial relations, marketing, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, or a similar business field.
  • Provide three (3) professional references, one of whom must be your current or most recent supervisor.
  • Provide current performance evaluation, if available.
  • Provide a copy of academic transcripts (unofficial are okay; please ensure that the institution name/URL is listed on the transcripts) to support educational credentials.
  • Work experience must be documented in the application.
