This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Greater Greenville Mental Health Center, 124 Mallard St, Greenville, SC 29601. Under limited supervision, responsible for managing administrative duties for administrative support staff and admissions staff of the Greenville Clinic of Greater Greenville Mental Health Center.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
  • Ability to defend self via Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) procedures.
  • Capabilities to operate general office equipment.
  • Position is considered essential and may be called back during crisis/disasters/emergencies.
  • Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations and program services.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to the specific administrative function.
  • Knowledge of governmental fiscal and personnel procedures, practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of subordinate personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate coverage in all areas under supervision to include providing direct support functions as needed.
  • Supervise operations of all Greenville Clinic administrative staff in the Admissions Department.
  • Supervise operations of the Greenville Clinic switchboard staff.
  • Supervise operations of all Greenville Clinic reception areas to include main lobby, and Child and Adolescent lobby.
  • Complete the EPMS and approve working time/leave in SCEIS for all employees under supervision.
