Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as front-line support to the public by responding to inquiries in person, by phone, and via email regarding Medicaid policies, program requirements, case status, and application or renewal processes.
  • Processes statewide correspondence in a timely and accurate manner, including receiving, sorting, stamping, scanning, filing, and disposing of mail, email, and fax communications in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Updates LaMEDS case records by entering case status changes and detailed case notes, and performs related actions such as mailing requested documents, initiating case closures, and uploading/indexing documents in EDMS.
  • Assists members with completing self-service portal change reports in LaMEDS, including updates to personal information, household composition, income, expenses, and requests for replacement Medicaid cards or case actions.
  • Performs clerical and data entry functions in LaMEDS, including assigning or reassigning tasks to Medicaid analysts as appropriate to support workflow efficiency.
  • Provides support to customer service and outreach efforts by assisting with high call volume inquiries, participating in outbound calling initiatives, and attending community events to share program information and resources.
  • Performs administrative and operational support functions such as maintaining equipment and property records, managing office supply inventory, supporting safety activities, and operating office equipment to ensure efficient daily operations.
