Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sorts, processes, images, files, and archives incoming mail and documents according to established document types and procedures.
  • Reviews and routes electronic and hard-copy correspondence to the appropriate member accounts and cases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Processes outgoing correspondence containing confidential information using electronic letter and scanning systems while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service and communicates effectively with colleagues, Medicaid members, and other LDH staff.
  • Participates in Medicaid policy training, continuous quality improvement initiatives, outreach efforts, and emergency preparedness or response activities.
  • Provides technical assistance and support for special projects within the Correspondence Processing Unit (CPU) and Call Center Unit (CSU).
  • Maintains computer hardware and related office technology, including personal computers, servers, network printers, digital copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
