About The Position

We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact in our outpatient behavioral health clinic in Hammond, LA. An ideal candidate will create and maintain a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and provide administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly. Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answering multi-line telephones and routing phone calls to the appropriate staff or taking detailed messages
  • Greeting clients
  • Notifying staff of client arrivals
  • Conducting check-in and check-out procedures for clients
  • Verifying insurance coverage
  • Contacting clients with appointment reminders
  • Processing faxes received
  • Entering information into an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Maintain a supply of the necessary packets for both clients with scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
