About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a Conference Center Administrative Assistant to join our team in El Segundo. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required for this position
  • 2 + years of experience with providing executive-level administrative support in a large, business and or military environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience with managing calendars and meeting coordination
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a proactive approach to supporting daily operations and addressing workplace needs.
  • Experience with visitor control, badge tracking, and security procedures
  • Be self-motivated, work independently, collaborate as part of a team to achieve office goals, and multi-task independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to proofread for grammar and punctuation with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external senior-level executives and their assistants in a professional manner and be proactive in anticipating government and administrative needs

Responsibilities

  • Manage MSEIT conference room reservations and meeting logistics to support efficient daily operations.
  • Maintain conference center spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for daily meetings and special events.
  • Professionally interact with the (senior) leadership team, government customers, vendors, and personnel
  • Assist with processing purchase requests
  • Verify VARS in Visitor Control Badge Tracking
  • Unclassified Rosters/Classified Roster backup
  • Create FedEx, UPS and mail distribution
  • Assist with vendor escorts, deliveries and special events
