About The Position

This is a temporary position within the Office of Admissions, specifically for the UTemp Pool. The role involves assisting with the processing of undergraduate and graduate admissions credentials, including permanent resident cards, domestic and international transcripts, and English proficiency requirements. The position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in data entry. The projected end date for this temporary assignment is December 18, 2026. The work hours are typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but after initial training, work may extend into evenings and possibly weekends. The position is non-exempt from FLSA and requires 29 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of administrative/clerical experience.
  • Must have access to a laptop or PC and a reliable internet connection.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Professional, responsible, reliable, and focused demeanor.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback.
  • Ability to remain focused while completing repetitive, assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years (60 semester hours) of college credit
  • More than 3 years of clerical work experience
  • Student records experience with confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the processing of undergraduate and graduate admissions credentials, including permanent resident cards, domestic and international transcripts, and English proficiency requirements.
  • Review, verify, and process a variety of admissions application credentials.
  • Perform transcript verification and GPA calculation.
  • Engage in data entry.
  • Assist with other assigned duties as needed.
  • Complete repetitive, assigned tasks.
