About The Position

This is a part-time Administrative Assistant position for Crescentwood Elementary for the 26-27 school year. The role involves providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. Duties include standard office functions such as answering telephones, taking messages, customer service for parents and visitors, operating copy machines and computer workstations, distributing mail, and filing/recordkeeping. The position also requires entering attendance and suspension data into the system, managing student ID badges, generating weekly attendance and truancy reports, assisting with field trips, parents, students, and the student registration process. Additionally, the role is responsible for the bell system, preparing and recording bank deposits and fees, serving as backup to other building secretaries, setting up robocalls for attendance, and acting as the main contact for student check-ins and check-outs. The employee may also be asked to perform other related duties and special projects as requested by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relevant prior work experience
  • Moderate proficiency in MS Word
  • Moderate proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent Customer Skills

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones, take messages, and provide customer service to parents and visitors.
  • Operate copy machines and computer workstations.
  • Distribute mail and perform filing/recordkeeping.
  • Enter attendance calls and suspension/attendance data into the system.
  • Manage student ID badges and lanyards.
  • Generate weekly attendance reports and truancy reporting.
  • Assist with field trips, parents, and students.
  • Assist with the student registration process.
  • Operate the bell system.
  • Prepare and record bank deposits and fees collected.
  • Serve as backup to other building secretaries.
  • Set up "robocalls" for attendance.
  • Serve as the main contact for student check-ins and check-outs with parent phone calls.
  • Perform other related duties, including special projects, as requested by the supervisor.

Benefits

  • Wage: Per EDESA agreement, Level 1: $17.47 - $20.91
