About The Position

Serves as the Administrative Staff Assistant to the Regional Administrator. Provides independent administrative support for the Regional Administrator ensuring that the recording, typing, distributing, scanning, and/or filing of correspondence is handled in an appropriate manner. Prepares various required quarterly/monthly/weekly reports are submitted in a timely manner. Serves as back-up to Executive Secretary Senior and Regional Administrator in handling correspondence and telephone calls.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in collecting data and prepare statistical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare routine reports.
  • Experience maintaining executive level/management calendar, coordinate, and function as lead Administrative Support position in the Regional Office.
  • Recent experience using computer software to include all Microsoft Office applications with extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Recent demonstrated experience performing administrative duties to include verbal and oral communication, composing correspondence, taking minutes, comprehending written communications.
  • Experience working with Department of Corrections (DOC) policies and procedures.
