About The Position

The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist is a position serving administrative functions across various departments and divisions. This role will be based at our Calgary Specialty location. The administrative assistant provides support to our Management and Operations teams along with other administrative functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year customer service and administrative experience
  • Confident computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office and Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and members of the team, both verbal and written
  • Excellent planning, organization, decision making and time management skills
  • Attention to detail for routine tasks and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit patience and customer rapport building expertise
  • Position may entail exposure to confidential and sensitive information; confidentiality required

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Management and Operations teams in a fast-paced specialty laboratory environment while supporting AGAT’s “Service Beyond Analysis” commitment.
  • Coordinate daily office administration including correspondence, filing, and document management.
  • Receive, organize, and distribute legal and court-related filings and confidential documentation as required.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other administrative documents.
  • Support office and meeting setup for Management and operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tracking and reporting for specialty laboratory operations.
  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, clients, and external stakeholders to support efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other administrative and shipping duties as required in support of laboratory operations.
