About The Position

As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management (DAPM), the Administrative Assistant III acts as a facilitator and key resource for the DAPM education portfolio and administrative matters across UHN and Women’s College Hospital (WCH).

Requirements

  • At Minimum, completion of a 2-year community college program in health care administration or recognized equivalent required.
  • At minimum 4 years related secretarial support experience required.
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment required.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player required.

Nice To Haves

  • Business, organization or training at the college or university level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the undergraduate, postgraduate resident and fellowship directors and program coordinators.
  • Facilitates university and hospital application processes for anesthesia fellows.
  • Facilitates onboarding and orientation processes for all anesthesia learners.
  • Coordinates and distributes resident weekly rounds schedules.
  • Maintains and distributes Survey Monkey evaluations for residents and fellows.
  • Performs cross-functional, back-up and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
  • Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention’s of the Act, in a timely manner.
