About The Position

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant who’s a great communicator with an amazing attitude. This position performs a variety of complex administrative tasks for the Offender Services Bureau Regional Operations Administrator and various staff, including reviewing and monitoring of various Population Management issues and trends. Conducts research and composes correspondence. Develops, implements, and maintains spreadsheets and tracking measures to ensure organizational, regulatory, and departmental orders are being followed. Provides monthly reports and immediately advises on any issues of concern to supervision and/or management. Assists and reviews inmates assigned to specific housing locations. Works collaboratively with the Offender Services Bureau Classification and ADCRR Medical staff to ensure any issues of concern are appropriately addressed.

  • Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks
  • Maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training
  • Maintain the statutorily required liability insurance
  • Take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of computer programs to include Google Suite, with emphasis on Gmail, Sheets, Documents, and Calendar
  • Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience reporting to a Manager or Administrative position

Responsibilities

  • Researches, monitors, reviews, and compiles data concerning Population Management issues and trends as they relate to specific inmate housing locations; communicates any issues or concerns to the supervisory chain of command
  • Develops and maintains various spreadsheets to track inmate housing trends and time frames to ensure organizational, regulatory, and department orders are being followed
  • Completes required reports and correspondence as they relate to the assignment
  • Attends meetings
  • Drives on State business
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
