About The Position

The Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant II position which provides office support to the Medicaid litigation unit within the General Counsel's Office. This position will provide administrative support for the Medicaid litigation attorneys. Duties include but are not limited to preparing a variety of legal documents and reports; monitoring all assignments received by attorneys; set up, establish, organize, and maintain an efficient and complete filing system (electronic); prompt and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing mail and faxes; making travel arrangements and submitting reimbursements; scheduling meetings and other events as requested by supervisors; track all Medicaid final orders; assist with preparation of various reports as needed; prepare requests for system access; receive telephone calls and take messages as necessary; field routine calls from the public; assist other staff as needed; and other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Two years of administrative experience
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of methods of data collection
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports
