About The Position

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. The Administrative Assistant I performs general administrative tasks such as handling the mail, typing, filing, and answering phones. They establish and maintain office files, make appointments, and arrange meeting rooms as required. This role compiles information from various sources and utilizes it for tasks such as generating reports. The Administrative Assistant I audits and maintains various reports specific to their department by checking for errors, inconsistencies, or discrepancies, making corrections and notifying appropriate personnel of any modifications. They ensure that department schedules and calendars are kept updated and update and maintain pertinent business information via computer or department files. This role assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the department at any given time. They draft and type correspondence and/or presentations to be sent to internal and external contacts. The Administrative Assistant I may process personnel/payroll information for an assigned pay group or associates in the department. They interact frequently with inter-departmental associates and management for the purpose of resolving workload issues. This role may provide backup support for other administrative associates in the department such as handling a multi-line phone system, greeting visitors, and other receptionist-related duties. They handle incoming and outgoing phones for the department and respond to questions and/or requests in a professional manner. The Administrative Assistant I assists and supports department managers in preparing for meetings and maintains and promotes positive and professional working relationships with associates and management. They comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations. This role may assist with or perform light mailroom duties such as routing mail, participating in project mailings, reviewing deliveries, maintaining inventory, and assisting with the delivery of print materials. They may also assist with performing light facilities set-up and clean-up of new office space, work stations, meeting rooms, etc. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two-year Associate's Degree Program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires one (1) + years directly related experience.
