About The Position

Xavier University is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Administrative Assistant I to join our TRiO Scholars, Student Support Services (SSS) team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to the Director of TRiO Student Support Services, including email correspondence, schedule meetings occurring in the office and via video conference, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Provide front desk coverage, including greeting guests, managing incoming/outgoing mail and maintaining an organized office environment.
  • Maintain workflow by analyzing and refining standard operation procedures, such as scheduling, communications, budget administration, purchasing, etc., and assist with program projects and presentations.
  • Lead and manage daily operations for the maintenance of the program’s confidential database.
  • Supervise student employees and delegate assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate new student intake process from pre-application status to enrollment into the program.
