About The Position

Provides logistical support and administrative assistance to one or more supervisors or professional staff members. Handles routine business situations, problems and questions of procedure in the work of the office according to general instructions, priorities, policies and program goals. Acts as team leader for a small, localized or specialized group of other clerical support personnel. Coordinates the distribution of work, and delivery of services. Performs other duties as assigned. The Offices Under the President will seek to fill the position by means of the Job Fair process. JOB FAIR DATE & LOCATION Wednesday, May 27, 2026 9:30am to 4pm Palmer House Hilton Chicago 124 S Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603 Qualified applicants will be offered interviews at the Job Fair. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate is required.
  • Two (2) years of full-time clerical/administrative work experience is required.
  • Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver’s license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee).
  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by either the World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
