About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the School of Public Health supporting the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technology (CASAT). The Administrative Assistant 3 will be responsible for the general clerical and front desk functions of the department. This position will answer phones, route calls, assist walk-in visitors, sort and distribute incoming internal and external mail, main accurate records and files, order, receive and distribute office supplies. This individual will manage the operation of all office machines including copiers, printers, PC's and fax machines, help maintain CASAT's filing system for personnel, travel, and purchasing card documentation, submit work orders and other maintenance requests, oversee external CASAT property such as office car and storage unit. The Administrative Assistant 3 will also edit purchasing card statements and maintain appropriate receipts for transactions, assist CASAT Executive Director with scheduling, filing confidential documents, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
