This position serves as the primary administrative support for the leadership of the Speech-Language Pathology (SPLP) program. The administrative coordinator assists the program director in accreditation maintenance processes, performs recurring duties independently, and receives specific instructions for non-routine assignments. An ideal candidate will possess competencies in accepting direction, communicating effectively, and focusing on customers.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Accepting Direction: The ability to be open and willing to follow guidance or instructions.
  • Communicating Effectively: The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement.
  • Focusing on Customers: The ability to understand and meet the needs, preferences, and experiences of internal and external customers.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides follow-up for distributed reports, surveys, and other materials required by the KDSON director.
  • Logs all incoming and outgoing documents related to responsibilities.
  • Prepares materials needed for meetings, such as agendas, handouts, binders, etc.
  • Coordinates and works closely with the Director to ensure that all information is forwarded to and received from faculty by required deadlines.
  • Reports on submissions for all required reports and specially gathered data.
  • Represents the Director & other Nursing Administrators through telephone and personal contacts in appropriate situations.
  • Sends notifications of meetings to departments/faculty/staff through email for the Director.
  • Prepares supply orders for KDSON.
  • Provides correct and accurate information to students, faculty, and the public in a courteous manner in person or on the phone.
  • Assesses the urgency and importance of situations as they arise and takes appropriate action.
  • In the Director’s absence, works with the Associate Directors & faculty to ensure that student requests for action and information are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates special projects as assigned.
  • Completes, processes, and monitors payroll timesheets for KDSON student workers.
  • Learns and effectively uses technology necessary in the efficient completion of duties.
  • Recruits and trains student workers.
  • Plans and assigns work effectively and assists when needed.
  • Completes other job responsibilities and duties as assigned.
