Requirements

  • One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization
  • Graduation from a four year college or university, or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment)
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clerical staff and coordinate daily work assignments
  • Assist the director and staff with confidential administrative tasks
  • Work with human resources on hiring actions, pay changes, and attendance records
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and ensure accurate documentation
  • Communicate with county and state departments regarding purchasing, payroll, and administrative needs
