The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 to support the Division of Food Safey and Inspection in Albany, NY. The Administrative Assistant 2 will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Director and Assistant Director as well as tasks associated with supporting the Division as a whole. Duties include such tasks as creating office procedures; designing filing systems; electronically organizing policies and procedures; maintaining efficient workflow; resolving day-to-day operational problems; responding to phone calls; sorting paper and electronic mail; organizing, expediting and following up on projects; and coordinating information flow by acting as a liaison among executives, staff, and the public. The Administrative Assistant 2, SG-15, is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
