About The Position

This position performs duties related to the operational needs of the College Dean's Office. This position serves as a central operational role within the College of Business Dean’s Office, providing direct support to the Dean and Associate Deans. The Administrative Aide coordinates high-impact events, manages complex scheduling and administrative functions, and supports key college initiatives, including accreditation and advisory activities.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Five years (60 months) of a combination of college coursework in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or progressively more responsible general or specialized office experience which included aspects of supervising staff or job function, organizing, and performing duties that lead to knowledge of generally accepted office principles.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work in the U.S. without ISU sponsorship.
  • All work under this appointment is required to be performed from within the State of Illinois.
  • If hired, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days from the start date for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise using Excel, in particular pivot tables and related formulas.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to create and edit postings.
  • Knowledge of Campus Solutions, Cognos, Colleague, Canvas, FormStack, MSFT Office Suite, and Qualtrics.
  • Budgeting skills.
  • Expertise in setting up events, working with caterers, vendors, and campus facilities.
  • Expertise in writing and editing copy.
