About The Position

This is a full-time contract position for an Administration Generalist, located in Newport News, VA, with a duration of 12 months. The role involves representing the organizational unit on administrative matters, recommending, interpreting, and implementing company and internal administrative policies and procedures. The generalist will perform a combination of administrative tasks in functional areas such as finance, human resources, purchasing, and research and development. Responsibilities may include preparing budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports. The position also includes facility and capacity planning, acting as a building site owner, and working with Facilities Proper for department transitions. The role serves as the primary contact for all facility issues and concerns, partnering with Safety/Security/Parking Solutions/Facilities teams to address site concerns and cascade information. Planning and managing equipment moves in and out of buildings is also a key responsibility, along with being the primary contact for site communications for several building locations and engineering trailers.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Represents organizational unit on administrative matters.
  • Recommends, interprets, and/or implements company and internal administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, purchasing, research and development.
  • May prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required.
  • Facility and Capacity planner/building site owner.
  • Work with Facilities Proper to successfully transition departments in and out of building sites.
  • Serve as primary contact and POC for addressing all facility issues and concerns.
  • Partner with the Safety/Security/Parking Solutions/Facilities teams to address site concerns and/or cascade important information on their behalf.
  • Plan/manage equipment moves in and out of buildings.
  • Primary contact source for site communications for several building locations and engineering trailers.
